Mike Sirota is on a Generational Run Right Now

Fans love to get mad at the Los Angeles Dodgers for their spending. They have cash and they will spend it. That’s how they landed Kyle Tucker, because nobody else was going to give him $60 million per season. What the Dodgers also do well is draft and develop. Organizationally, they are very well run from top to bottom. To have the best put-together MLB roster that also trickles down to their talent pipeline is nothing short of amazing. This is fortunate, because while the current Dodgers core still has more time together, they aren’t getting any younger.
The Dodgers currently have NINE players ranked in the top 100 prospects per MLB Pipeline. For a team that’s won back-to-back championships, that’s crazy to think about. Shoutout to their development team! One player really turning heads and on a generational run is Mike Sirota.
Sirota is the second best ranked prospect in the Dodgers system according to MLB Pipeline. He ranks 11th overall, just behind teammate Josue De Paula, who is 4th overall. This season, Sirota has shown exactly why he’s a top ranked prospect and another player the Dodgers can call up to make a difference.
As it currently stands, Sirota extended his on-base streak to 71 games. Yes, you read that correctly, that is not a typo. He’s also two games away from tying the all-time record of 72. To this point, Sirota has played 76 games this season, making it extremely impressive. What’s also impressive is his growth from last season to this season.
The 23-year-old outfielder ended last season in High-A, where he played 35 games and slashed .316/.458/.556 with a 1.014 OPS and 184 wRC+. What he did to end 2025 was great from an approach standpoint, maintaining the same strikeout rate, but raising his walk rate by 8.3%. To begin 2026, he was hitting more for average (.325), and the display of power was great to see. He increased his slugging percentage to .602, and his isolated power went from .239 to .276. Major improvement all around.

Another amazing feat is his consistent OPS above 1.000 at every level. Sustaining that stat whilst showing signs of improvement at each level is huge. Sirota got promoted to Double-A and has not skipped a beat. He’s slashing .324/.484/.552 with a 1.036 OPS. What remains the most impressive is his ability to get on base. Consistently, he has had an OBP above .400 and his walk rate is the highest it’s been of his baseball career in the Dodgers system at 22.1%. He has 14 home runs, already surpassing his total from a season ago. The power from him is unreal and it’s been a blast to see his development this season.
Sirota's approach is great across the board. He doesn’t whiff or chase outside the zone. He’s swinging the bat extremely well, stealing bases, and his overall growth has been consistent. If you are sleeping on Sirota or not buying stock, I recommend you do so. The Dodgers have yet another good one.
