Cody Hamilton (The Data Dugout)
Writer and creator behind The Data Dugout, which launched at the end of 2025. Baseball has followed me throughout all steps of life. Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska I became a fan of the Kansas City Royals and was fortunate enough to attend World Series games in 2014 and 2015. I currently live in Atlanta, near Truist Park and attend as many games as possible. I like to analyze and write about all things baseball but especially prospects and rookies.

I've lived in Georgetown, Texas my whole life, but am regularly asked what part of Missouri I'm from because of my deep love of the Cardinals; I enjoy going to Round Rock Express, affiliate of the Texas Rangers, games as often as possible. I'm a late in life fan of sports, and baseball has captured my heart and imagination like nothing else! I love the highs and lows, and the stories that come with each player, team, and game. I also work as a Pastor, Chaplain, bookseller, and full-time caregiver to my disabled son, the oldest of my four.

First and foremost, I'm a married father of two very active kids (Cole, 14, and Emma, 12). I've been a teacher in the elementary and secondary panels for the past 25 years in Toronto, was a CrossFit coach for many years, and now I'm now pivoting towards the sports media space, with a particular emphasis on baseball reporting and analysis. I began as a freelance writer covering all major sports, plus PGA, and UFC, in 2024 with The Sports Column, and have since worked as a writer, and editor, with Stadium Rant, and now, Painting Corners. I also facilitate a Substack site that features stories of amateur and High School sports in my hometown, called The Slam (Scarborough). I'm definitely a baseball lifer, having worked as a batboy way back in the early 90's with the World Series Champion Blue Jays, played college ball in the US, and Canada, and spent a couple of decades messing around with local men's leagues. Now, I just try to keep up with my kids, while writing and keeping on top of baseball news every day.

Originally from Venezuela, I inherited my love for baseball from going to the ballpark in my home town with my parents. As season ticket holders for our local team Leones del Caracas, our main focus was in Venezuela’s winter league but used to follow venezuelan baseball players in MLB regardless of teams. After moving to Philadelphia in 2016 and living there for 10 years, I inevitably fell in love with the ambiance at “The Bank” during Red October and the charisma of the Phillie Phanatic, turning me into a Phillies fan.

I’m a lifelong Red Sox fan, born in New Jersey, raised in New England, and now living in Edinburgh, Scotland, where first pitch usually collides with last call. My career has taken me from analyzing and writing about financial markets to building businesses and leading companies. In baseball, I’m most interested in the point where the numbers stop being a spreadsheet and start explaining why a player, team, or organization is changing. Most of my “free” time is spent with my wife and growing family, and trying to determine whether my young son has a better chance of supporting his parents as a professional golfer or ballplayer.

Pete Dwyer (The Baseball Nerd)
Writer and creator behind The Baseball Nerd, an analytics-first MLB site and newsletter that formally launched in early 2025. I started watching baseball around age 7 with my dad, listening to Joe Garagiola and Bob Costas call games, and I spent years coaching my son's Little League team and then high school ball. I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and still play adult league baseball. I also host the Division Line podcast, and I wrote a scorekeeping guide book called America's Most Measured Game. My work leans on proprietary models like SPARK, FADE, and Contact Suppression Rating to get at what's really happening on the field, whether that's breakouts, decline risk, or pitching.

Hey! I’m a writer from the Arkansas area who watches way, way, too much baseball. I’ve written for Painting Corners for the last 3 months. I cover those pitchers nobody talks about: #3 starters, bridge relievers, and the unsung heroes responsible for how your favorite team puts together 162 and then 27 outs in October. I’m a through-and-through Braves fan and can’t get enough of a Chris Sale start.
